With 16 years in Los Angeles as a film composer, Claes has written original music for motion picture media in a myriad of genres. For over a decade, he specialized in scoring movie trailers. Today, he stays busy composing for all motion picture media formats but currently favors short films.

His most notable original score is “Sketches Of Frank Gehry”, directed by Sydney Pollack. Most recently, he composed the score for Academy Award™ winning sci-fi director Douglas Trumbull’s latest short film, U•F•O•T•O•G. Claes also has a long history of co-writing music with other film composers and recording artists.
